The City of Summit Department of Community Programs is offering our “In Town” Recreation Basketball League.  All games and practices will be held right here in Summit. The games will be officiated by carded referees. Program runs from December through mid March with practices once per week and games on Saturdays or Sundays. Participants will receive a reversible team jersey.

In Town League Details:
Availability:                   Children in grades 3 through 8 who reside in Summit
Registration:                 Website based registration at https://register.communitypass.net/summit ends November 2nd. 
Fees:                             $110. 
Season:                         December through middle of March
Teams:                          Teams will be created to be evenly-skilled, using evaluations on every player         
Team Formation:           Teams will be built using 3^rd grade, 4^th grade, 5^th and 6^th grades together and 7^th and 8^th grades together.  Evaluations will be directed by the SBC Evaluations Committee and will use independent evaluators with the goal of creating equal teams
Commitment Level:       Teams will have one practice and one game per week during the season.  All levels will have playoffs and a championship game.  Additional clinics will be scheduled in conjunction with the Varsity Coaching Staffs.
Coaching:                       Background checks, completion of the Rutgers SAFETY course and acceptance of the Coaching Code of Ethics and Program Guidelines will be a requirement.
